У артыкуле даследавана перасяленне ў Мінскую, Магілёўскую і Віцебскую губерніі сялян, якія жылі ў прыбалтыйскіх губернях, у параўнанні з іншымі напрамкамі міграцыі латышскіх сялян. Даецца аналіз па інтэнсіўнасці перасялення, храналогіі, месца паходання перасяленцаў. Таксама разглядаюцца гістарычныя абставіны, якія садзейнічалі перасяленню ў названыя губерніі ў другой палове ХІХ ст.

The paper examines the Latvian peasants emigration from the Baltic provinces of the Russian Empire to the governorates of Vitebsk, Mogilev and Minsk in the second half of the 19th century, in comparison to other destinies of the Latvian peasants out-migration. The analysis includes the intensity and chronology of the out-migration, places of origin of the out-migrants, as well as the main aspects of the socio-economic situation, which influenced development of the out-migration.

У артыкуле закранаюцца пытанні звязаныя з т.зв. “Беларускім працэсам” − судовай справай 1924‒1925 гг., у якой настаўнікі беларускіх школ Латгаліі абвінавачваліся ў стварэнні злачыннай арганізацыі з сепаратыўнымі мэтамі. Працэс выклікаў шырокі рэзананс сярод беларускага насельніцтва Латвіі і меў далёкаідучыя наступствы. Нягледзячы на апраўданне ўсіх падсудных, працэс выявіў праблемы ў адносінах беларускай інтэлігенцыі і прадстаўнікоў латвійскага ўрада. Канфлікт перад усім быў выкліканы разыходжаннем у палітычных поглядах паміж беларускім нацыянальна-адраджэнчым рухам, які быў накіраваны галоўным чынам на працяг барацьбы за аднаўленне Беларускай Народнай Рэспублікі, і палітычнай сістэмай Латвіі 1920-х гг, у якой ідэя аднаўлення беларускай дзяржаўнасці з неакрэсленымі межамі не знаходзіла месца. Латвійская Рэспубліка мела дыпламатычныя зносіны з БССР, але кантакты беларусаў Латвіі з апошняй не віталіся.

The article looks at some aspects of so called «Belarusian trial» in Latvia − the court case (1924.−1925.) dealing with teachers of Belarusian schools in Latgale who were accused of forming a criminal organization with separatist goals. The trial caused a wide resonance among the Belarusian population of Latvia and had far-reaching consequences. Despite the acquittal all defendants the process revealed problems in the relations between Belarusian intellectuals − the most active figures of Belarusian diaspora in Latvia and between representatives of the authorities of Latvia. The conflict was largely due to the divergence of the Belarusian national revival movement, which has inherited the political ideals of the Belarusian People's Republic and was primarily concerned with the continuation of the struggle for the restoration of the state on the one hand, and of the political system in Latvia in 20-ies, in which the idea about the restoration of Belarusian People’s Republic, a state with uncertain boundaries, have no place at all and where Belarus was represented only by the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic hostile country for Latvia by fact.
