1920-х гг. Артыкул прысвечаны вызначэнню колькасці латышоў-перасяленцаў на момант фарміравання дыяспары і ступені іх рассялення ў краі.

The first Latvian colonies were founded in Viciebsk province before the 1870. The biggest growth in number of Latvians immigrant was in 1870–1897. The Russian Socialist Federal Soviet Republic and the Republic of Latvia peace treaty on August 11, 1920 became the beginning of the transformation from the Latvians immigrant to Latvian diaspora. The Latvians remained all diaspora features throughout the 1920th. The article is devoted to the number of Latvians immigrant at the time of diaspora formation and their resettlement in Viciebsk province.

The attitude of Russian officials of the Belarusian provinces to Latvians according to the materials of the Мahilioŭ Teachers Institute
В статье анализируется ответ на прошение Матта Адова Лиллипа на право сдачи вступительных экзаменов в Могилёвский учительский институт в 1913 г. Это письмо директора института В. Тычинина интересно выявленным в нём отношением к латышам как к «несочувствующим» православию и русской государственности, что было довольно типичным для русских чиновников на белорусских землях. Всё более критическое отношение латышей к российской действительности воспринималось в имперском сознании многих чиновников как непринятие русской государственности.

The article analyzes the response to the request of Matta Adav Lilipa for the right to entrance exams to the Mahilioŭ Teachers Institute in 1913. This letter from the director of the institute V. Tychynin is interesting for the attitude to Latvians expressed in it as “negative” to Orthodoxy and Russian statehood, which was quite typical for Russian officials on the Belarusian lands.The critical attitude of Latvians to the Russian reality was perceived in the imperial minds of many officials as a rejection of Russian statehood.

У выясненне канфлікту былі ўцягнуты прадстаўнікі акружнога камітэта партыі і Цэнтральнага Бюро Латсекцый пры ЦК КП(б)Б. У выніку адбылася замена сакратара Полацкага латбюро.

In article, the author, on the basis of archival documents, considers the conflict between members of the Polack Latvian bureau that arose in 1926. Local Latvian party members did not accept the new secretary sent from Minsk. As a result of growing contradictions, a scandalous article appeared in the all-Union newspaper “Kreewijas Zihna”. Representatives of the district party committee and the Central Bureau of Latvian sections under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus were involved in clarifying the conflict. As a result, the secretary of the Polack Latburo was replaced.

The article on the basis of documents from National Archives of the Republic of Belarus viewed the issues of the social economic, social political and cultural life of Latvians in the Homel region and, in particular, the Latvian colonies such as Vasilieusky farms and Nova-Radzin in the 1920s. В статье рассматривается журнал «Гаспадар», который издавался для белорусских крестьян, живущих в межвоенной Латвии. «Гаспадар» выходил в Риге под редакцией Я. Шчорса. Всего увидело свет только четыре номера за июнь, июль, август и сентябрь–ноябрь 1926 г. В ежемесячнике затрагивались такие аспекты, как работа в поле (календарь работ, цены фруктов и овощей, принципы аграрной работы или строительство хозобъектов), хозяйство (например, продукция домашнего вина), образование крестьянского населенья. На страницах «Гаспадара» редакция информировала также об актуальной деятельности белорусских организаций в Латвии и их активных членов.

The article deals with the period “Haspadar”, which was a monthly magazine for the Belarusian peasants living in interwar Latvia. “Haspadar” was published in Riga and edited by J. Shchors. There are only four issues for June, July, August and September–November of 1926 were published. Publications were about, such aspects as: work in the field (calendar of works, prices of fruits and vegetables, principles of agricultural work or the construction of outbuildings), agriculture (for example, production of home wine), and education of the peasant. On the pages of “Haspadar” the editorial board also informed about the current activities of Belarusian leaders and Belarusian organizations in Latvia.

The article a collection of books published by the Latvian sector of the Institute of National Minorities of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences viewed. With the help of catalogs and identification library signs, the ways of getting books into the library of the Marx-Engels-Lenin Institute in Moscow are restored. It shows, first, how the peculiarities of acquisition affect individual book collections, second, how it is tied to the tasks of acquiring historical and political literature in the 1930s in one of the main ideological organizations of the USSR.

Kastuś Jezavitaŭ’s article “About Belarusians and Russians in Latvia” (1923) is an important source about the history of the Belarusian minority in interwar Latvia. Its author was one of the most active figures of the Belarusian movement in this country. Created as part of a discussion on the place of Belarusians in Latvian society, this article reflects the complex history of relations of Belarusians with representatives of other Latvian peoples, as well as K. Ezavitaŭ's position on the subject of the discussion. This publication is a translation of this historical source from Latvian into Belarusian.
